Correspondence; minutes (1891-1929), committee reports, and other council records; headworkers' reports (1896-1940); biographical material on residents, staff, and volunteers, compiled by Albert J. Kennedy, headworker, 1929-1944; correspondence and other papers documenting the clubs, camps, and cultural activities sponsored by the society; personal papers (1893-1920) of Charles B. Stover, organizer and member of the society, including papers relating to the Outdoor Recreation League, New York, N.Y., other recreational programs, area redevelopment, and rapid transit systems; biographical questionnaires completed by former staff or neighborhood children; and bulletins, reports, and other publications. The bulk of the collection consists of the headworkers' subject and correspondence file comprising correspondence of the headworkers with public officials, officers and members of the society, other settlement house personnel, educators, philanthropists, and the public, supplemented by reports, speeches, pamphlets, articles, statistical tables, and notes by Kennedy.
